Helmet gasket

Post by Flipflop »

Half the gasket at the top of my helmet is loose and hangs down over my left eye which is slightly irritating. I’d like to glue it back into the recess but don’t want to use something that will harm the gasket/helmet so it’s useless in 6 months time.
I’d be grateful for any advice
Thanks

What helmet and where did you buy it.
When I had an issue with my Arai,
I went into Infinity motorcycles and had chat with them as they are Arai dealers. They ordered the necessary parts and carried out the work all FOC. All it cost me was a donation to the bisquit fund.
Which considering they made me a cuppa while I waited was still a bargain.😆👍😎

It’s a Nolan.
It’s my commuting and green lane helmet - I did have a little off road spill, not enough to damage the helmet but it may have disturbed the gasket.
I think I got it from sports bike shop - I’ll check my emails to see how old it is.

I remember a lot of years ago, gluing the rubber around my visor aperture on a Simpson using superglue and then wearing it almost straight away, not realising that superglue gave off a gas!
By ‘eck it made my eyes water...

Did it make a worthy repair?
