Was in my local Tesco's store this morning, I found they have on offer; 10w-40 motor oil Part-Synthetic, suitable for petrol & diesel engines, meets requirements of the following:
API SN/CF, ACEA/B3, A3/B4, MB 229.I

Cost is £8 for 4 litres.

So, the question is? Could I use this oil for my Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom motorcycle I wonder..??

I'm sure Part-Synthetic means the same as Semi-Synthetic...?

My Suzuki owners manual states to use; 10w-40 API SF or SG, or SH, or SJ

Assuming your clutch is a wet clutch you will probably need to check if it's JASO MA compatible, otherwise you are likely to experience clutch slip.

Suzuki manual does state; JASO classification of MA 10w-40

As none of the spec abbreviations match up I would stay well clear, it's cheap for a reason.

It's car oil, so no good in a wet clutch motorcycle.

As above...it contains friction reducers and may harm your (wet) clutch.

I buggered the clutch on my GasGas by using a Synthetic oil, which made the friction plates swell up. Had to fit a complete new clutch pack.

I've used cheap car oil in my xt660z once the mileage got high and I stopped worrying about it. 104k in and no clutch slip. Used car stuff in old gsxr too and no clutch slip 57k on clock.

If you want cheap good quality speced oil buy in 25ltr on ebay from uk distributors...just make sure its no slip additives...

I suffered unpredictable clutch action with my Pampera for years. Difficult to set up without drag or slip...and it's meant to be self-adjusting.

then I stumbled across an American You tube, hosted by the former service manager of Gas Gas USA.

Recommended 5W-30 mineral oil car engine: which I found at an American car specialist.

Seems OK so far.
