Not a bike, but transport my bikes in it so …..
Anyone know the location of the clutch master cylinder in a 2001 Renault Master van?
Can't see anything obvious in the engine bay.
Might be behind a panel/insulation behind brake servo unit? (be a bugger if it is)
Or fed from Brake reservoir? (as some vehicles are?)
Clutch pedal getting low and not returning fully and want to look at master cylinder before investigating the slave cylinder (which I think requires gearbox removal).
Just want to be able to get it to my mate who has a garage/workshop without it giving up all together on route.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Thanks Bob.
I'd actually read this when I googled it. The problem is, it assumes the reader knows where the reservoir is - I know it's at the other side of the pedal somewhere , but it doesn't say where and it's certainly not visible in the engine bay.

I think from memory the fluid feed is from the brake reservoir , and unless you are handy with the spanners it's a garage job

Assume you have checked level in brake master cylinder ??diggermanbob wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2019 5:12 pm I think from memory the fluid feed is from the brake reservoir , and unless you are handy with the spanners it's a garage job

Re: 2001 Renault Master II Clutch Master Cylinder
Thanks Bob. I think you might be right, as I can't see a separate reservoir anywhere. Yes, I checked the level in the brake reservoir and it seems ok. It might be that it's just pumping fluid within itself. I don't want to assume it's the slave cylinder until I eliminate the 'easier' possibility of the master cylinder.
As for spanners, a monkey with no hands could do a better job than me, so it will be going to my mechanic mate here in Germany (he has a bike/car/van workshop luckily and is my off-roading and enduro buddy)
