Despite it saying it should be changed doesn't mean it was.
I've seen plenty of places (even places I've worked, I do not condone it especially if it's being paid for) just use those brake fluid test strips that are like a litmus test and skip it if they don't say it requires changing.
I'm of the opinion that it should be changed at least at those intervals, if not more.

Got bike back yesterday. Needed new master cylinder, pipes etc all cleaned. £868 including the service. I've sent a complaint to BMW as I have all my service records for the bike.

out of warranty ..id have bought this ,,,,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-r1200gs- ... ctupt=true

just got a new caliper for me wee strom ....140.000 miles and the caliper was one quid more than a seal kit and came with pads ...741 miles old
30 quid

not being funny just sayin ..thats the way to go now i think good quality parts can be had very cheap and theres no point in paying bmw lbour costs ..if you cant do it yourself it shoulnt be more than a hours labour to replace a master ..it could be done at 100 quid all in i reakon
