MICHELIN S12

Post by #47steve »

Hi all,

Need advise on using S12'S for trail riding. Are they any good for this and also getting to the trails on the road?

I've never used them, but the local Enduro lads won't use anything else. They say they are not great on tarmac, but they can live with that and just ride slower on tarmac, because they are the best tyres for the trails around here (catalunya).
Current bike is a Yamaha T7

They are supposed to be the best tyres for enduro, so I used them and they certainly grip.

For trail riding not so good as they are quite soft and won't last too long on tarmac, plus they are not road legal ....

Having said that, old ones that have aged for a few years and hardened a little are quite usable, from experience ;)

They only make the XC now. Better tyre for what you want is a michelin medium enduro for max grip, a michein tracker for more longevity
