New tyres, potential fault??! Should I panic or not?

As mentioned in another recent thread, I had TKC80’s fitted (and asked for advice on the best pressures to run them on).
Have done about 200 miles on them since and they are bedding in nicely and I’m getting to like them, a lot.
BUT....
Today I noticed this (hopefully benign) small fault on the side wall of the front tyre. I’ve never had anything like this on any tyre before. They did get a pretty good work out on Saturday, off tarmac, but surely after 200 miles this can’t be normal wear? Or maybe I’m worried about nothing ?
I’ll pop back and have a chat with the fella who fitted them for me and see what he says. He’s a pretty decent bloke but it’d be good to have some opinions on what this is and whether I should worry.

As you can see, from a distance it’s barely noticeable. I could easily have overlooked this for ages.
What do think folks?

It looks like the date of manufacture stamp. ie week and year. Not sure why it looks like that though. Your tyre guy will give you answers i reckon.

Personally I wouldn't worry about that at all.

But I'm a nob and bad things sometimes happen to me, so you probably shouldn't listen to my advice...

It’s just where the date plate is removed after moulding, nothing to worry about, see it quite often.

The date of manufacture has to be recorded on the tyre now , so obviously the numbers have to change everyday. There is a little 'puck' that pushes into the side of the mould with the numbers on , if it's not quite pushed home properly, then a little bit of rubber can get behind the numbers, during the vulcanising process. This is what you can see. I worked in a tyre factory for a little while, you would be amazed how strong tyres are. They blow the carcasses up to 200psi when all the tread is machined off during the process of making remoulds, for example.
