Beta Alp 4.0 Clocks issue

Post by Fizzy77 »

Hi,

I have a 2008 Beta Alp 4.0. I'm wondering if anyone has seen an issue with the clocks on these before. When I press the button on the bars or the clocks the screen only flickers and doesn't scroll through the modes.

I'm trying to troubleshoot the issue but not getting very far. I'm not sure if these clocks are the same as on other makes/models.

Wild guess here but does it have an internal battery like the ktm item.

Unfortunately not. I took it apart on that assumption but there no internal battery. The bike had been stood for quite a long time (couple of years). Its had a new 12v battery and a good fettling. So I don't know when the it last worked. I still have a speedo and odo so it's not then end of the world but a trip would be handy.

Sorted. Turns out the "Pages" had been blanked out. You can disable some functions or all functions. Turns out it's got a rev counter... and two laptimers, and two clock displays, and average speed, and trip.... and ... and......

It's been bugging me for ages so I'm glad I found out how to use the bloody thing!
