Wr450f rectifier differences ????????

Post by Mikekitts81 »

Came across these today and wondered if anyone knew the diffrence in them there for the same bike but one as an extra cost and extra wire ... is it a 3 wire phase instead like modren dc rectififers and the the 2 wire one for ac current ??? Cant seem to find a explanation in the differences all i know is the smaller one costs more but as an extra wire to fit the same wiring for the wr450f

Do they both not have four wires?

Two plugs look similar?

On the very basic tech side rectifiers "rectify" AC to DC by having a set of one way electrical check valves

Suggest you get one from Yam to be honest, the correct one for the year of bike. Not worth messing about with.

Ther will be one single manufacturer part number for the rectifier for the year of bike you have. Just get that one. Pointless doing anything else.
