Fcr Carb

Post by Mikekitts81 »

So had some weird throttle issue other day so i took my carb apart the thing is . I took to much apart i split the float bowl and then took the other side off aswell lifting out the rolloer body and needle jet . Removed the floats and the pilot jets and few other jets air jet etc and then noticed the 4 torq screws with the nipples in so i untighten that and this is were my issue is .

There seems to be a carb kit for the fcr caeb on the wr450f and it covers the rubber gaskets for the float bowl and the top cover new screws and the float needle but it doesnt have a middle rubber gasket kit in it and i cant seem to find any in the uk

The picture above are the rubber gaskets in question . Is it possible do you think to use a instant gasket or something similar to sort the issue or iam i better not trying this and waiting to find a part or replacement carb ?
All things built not bought . The only way is adventure .

Ditto. V helpful. Just had my fcr carb for my ccm back following a service / overhaul from them. It's a high end carb which is more complex than i could figure out myself.

I agree, I had issues with the carb on my DRZ400E, they had good stock of parts and were quick too.
