Africa twin adventure sport live feed and remove tail section

Hi, Taking my africa twin adventure sport to algeria for a rally, can any one tell me is there a not to difficult to get to permanent live wire up front I can tap in to for a feed for a tracker.

Also could do with getting rid of the big tail section but tried undoing the 2 bolts but it seems the nuts are spinning, any easy way around this or have i got to take all the back end apart.

I have an Eastern Beaver lead that comes as a plug and play unit in to a spare plug in the tail unit.
