Gas Gas Pampera clutch to do next...just waiting for a new clutch pack.

Apparently the cure for Pamp clutch woes is to use 5W-30 non-synthetic car engine oil....and there's me been wasting money on specialist synthetic motorcycle gear oil...and getting a shite clutch action in return for my trouble.

All I've got to do is find somewhere which sells such old-school oil...Castrol GTX or something.

Greetings,

It might be worth phoning Gas Gas Motos, at Buxton to speak with Jude or Andy Hipwell, to establish what they used and can supply;

The Pampera now has a new clutch pack, and mineral oil in the gearbox...and I can find neutral.

The old plates that came out were thicker than the new ones that went in ...so it looks like it was the synth oil that was the problem.

The new plates were £77 + VAT, so that synthetic gear oil works out pretty expensive!
