Re: Silencer wadding
I had a track bike (ZX6R) a while back with a nice fruity Hindle can that needed re-packing. I rebuilt it using this stuff and it worked a treat:

Might be worth a try, Russ.

Re: Silencer wadding
Ok well just measured the Bmw one 44mm inlet , approx 500mm length , 120 mm round , flat on side that's against bike , you are more than welcome to it if you want to give it a try.

Re: Silencer wadding
Just had another thought , I think I have a pair of standard cans of my xt660 , I will go have a look in a bit.
Re: Silencer wadding
Got a Remus on the KTM. Looked into packing that as all my neighbours know when I leave and come back too. Most are jealousy wishing they could of come with me but one or two, well all the cranky old witches moan worse than Victor Meldrew.
Any way there are a few YouTube clips about repacking the Remus exhaust. Apparently it should be redone every few years anyway.
It looked like it is a real pain in the arse , you need to remove exhaust and drill out all the rivets at the end cap then pull out all old wadding before repacking.
In end I thought sod it let the moaners moan.

Re: Silencer wadding
44mm is the biggest inlet that I have , let me know if it's any good , I could braze and modify the inlet if you need it.
