Re: Electrics !!!!
It's the oojimaflip that's connected to the doofiferkin that powers the thingymabob
Re: Electrics !!!!
My son's bike left him in the lurch a few weeks ago when the battery just died, it was fine starting the bike all day then we stopped and when he came to start it there was nothing, as the bike was injection it needed the battery so we were a bit stuffed. Fortunately I had my swiss army wife with me so I sent her off to a local bike shop to pick up a new battery and that sorted it, charging was fine.
So try a new(er) battery as that could be the problem, in fact we've recently had 3 batteries go duff on us on different bike that had sat through winter but only one that died completely mid ride.

Well, if it's not the sidestand switch (which it always is) then it's the kill switch gone high resistance, which it often is.

Re: Electrics !!!!
Phil have you checked if you have power at starter button , assuming not you could run a separate power supply direct from battery to switch ( just to test it ) see if it fires up then , it just sounds like you have a live going to earth if it flattens the battery that quickly , maybe the existing feed from ignition to stater switch is shorting in the socket that the starter button loom plugs in to , anyway good luck I'm sure you will find it eventually ,

Re: Electrics !!!!
The ccm and dr have lots in common... My startor button has 4 cables... And 2 are positives, one earth other from ignition.......
My positive had corroded and ignition frayed.... Look up a wiring diagram and test each feed with a multimeter.... If the startor solenoid klicks then ita working allmost all suzuki bimes use same startor solenoida lol.....
