Anyone listen to this week's ARR?

This week they had a chap called Michael on who is a bike designer. He had some interesting opinions on modifications and things. If anyone else listened, what did you think? Personally I was torn on some of his opinions but overall agreed with him.

I listened and it was very interesting as is a lot of their programming. I'm pretty much in general agreement with him in so much as most modifications focus a bike towards a niche use that the owner wants. However I was disappointed that he didn't say anything about being confined by regulations at the design stage.

I agree about the regulations at the design stage. Would have been nice to hear about that. The bit that made me smile was the part about loud exhausts. I couldn't agree with him more there. I do have an aftermarket exhaust on mine, with the quietest baffle though in an attempt to save weight. Next up is a lithium battery actually purely for weight savings.

I had an aftermarket exhaust on the sertao for a while but switched back to original as it moved peak power to high up the rev range. The one on my Xcountry seems ideal for the bike. I am very happy with the akro on the S10 though. Weight and protection are my biggest reasons for modifying bikes.
