Garmin Montana 600 question

I have Garmin Montana 600 , if I hit the where to icon , then punch in cities , then say Bristol or Gloucester , and then hit go it keeps telling me , no active route , do I need to install maps , ???

Yes......The maps also need to be routable maps.

I think they normally only come with the generic low res base maps you can either purchase maps from Garmin or use some of the free Open Street Map ones available

ive found a aquired 2015 citynav whole of europe if your interested Bob....that way phil wont be the only one lost...ummm on a adventure detour :D ;)

Well I've loaded maps and still doesn't want to show me a route , is there anyone in the Cotswolds area that know how to work a Montana 600 or how it should work , before I go completely mad , if it's operator trouble then I will gladly admit it but I have tried and tried , maybe I'm just thick , HELP

Did you enable the map Bob?
