Well I have a terra adventure too. And I've been using mine but the pipe between the head and carb had split so put a spare bit of pipe on while waiting for new one. It still rode but bit sluggish. Put the new one on this morning and I'm have the same thing as you... on a side note there has been a coolant leak so I disconnected the pipe and re sealed it which poured loads of coolant one the lower engine so thinking has coolant got in and on to the plates
