My 1st puncture

Post by vRSG60 »

Piece of glass through the tread.
Never mind I have my magic repair kit. Except it proved totally useless.
The fog biscuit shaped bung just snapped instead of going into the tyre, all 3 of them. And yes I did follow instructions.
Ah week I'm now awaiting BMW recovery.

I've got some rat tails at home I'll give one a go. But at least I can take the wheel off and take it somewhere

Rat tails, sticky string,I don't know what the proper name is but I've used them twice now for car punctures.Worked perfectly and only cost about £5 on EBay.

You have to make the hole bigger with the reamer
Quite a bit bigger
Then they don't snap off
Sometimes you have use the biscuit shaped ones or the mushrooms or the rats tails, depending on the damage
I carry all 3

The recovery guy fitted a mushroom type thing, seems OK. I'll monitor the pressure over this week.

Plus one for the stop and go Minky.
Great for round, nail/screw type punctures.
