Help please with painting some brackets.

Hi guys,
can you help with above to brackets off my xt1200 that hold spotlight on corrosion set in so taken off and sanded down.
Going black again can you guys give me a heads up on best aerosol tins opf primmer and black to use please or is there a black i can use that does not need primmer. loads to choose from so i,d like to do right first go please

I'd use black Hammerite smooth. Goes on direct to metal without primer and can be applied with rust in places.

+1 on hammerite spray direct on to rust.
at least 2-3 coats.

Hammerite is good but I have found Plastikote to be more durable and flexible where Hammerite cracks.

HI BIGDON,
will plastikote go straight on without primmer if yes do i just need a tin of black gloss platikote

Follow the application instructions exactly, especially plasticote or it will peel and then you need to sand to bare metal again..
Hammerite is good and can be reapplied easily....or maybe powdercoat.

Rustoleum is cracking stuff spray straight on to unprimed surfaces has a good flat Matt finish is extremely durable and heat resistant up to 750 degrees Celsius it's what I used to spray on to exhaust for range rovers,Volvos for Sweden and Bentley exhaust to name a few for factory fitting it's unbelievable how durable this stuff is it's even suitable for spraying directly over rust as it contains a neutralizing agent

And it can be lacquered over as well which it takes rather well and gives a nice finish
