Yep, that seems to be the case.
To be honest I'm not bothered about the extra 3-4hp you get with the Akra can but they do look nice and weigh alot less.
I'll just put a slip-on on it a couple of thousand miles down the line, mainly so I can be heard by other drivers and loose a bit of weight. In my experience quiet bikes are dangerous on the road.

The Akra's more about reducing weight & heat. The original weighs nearly 2 tonnes and gets thermonuclear!
