Tim - a much cheaper combination is a pirelli scorpion XC mid hard rear with the M02 (works v well) and a mich desert race front with the M16, or a scorpion rally front. Mich deserts are expensive tyres, and the rear has very poor grip on gravel, marbles, rock etc The fronts last forever but again on anything slippery or wet its not really the right tyre
