12v hard wired, continious recording bike camera? Which one please

Post by -Ralph- »

Just subscribing to the thread as I could do with the same in the car, but would prefer a small bullet cam mounted in the corner of windscreen front and rear.

Also don't want to download footage and just want it to start and stop with ignition.

Do a search on youtube for Techmoan, he does really good reviews on dashcams for cars.

A small waterproof permanent 12v feed one would be useful - haven't seen one of those yet.

I'm also looking for a solution for a 'dashcam' for the bike.
Criteria being, automatic record on start up / loop recording / bike powered / front and rear facing cameras.
I've had look at the Innovv set up but it's pricy and doesn't quite do it for me.
What I have come up with is components on ebay you could build your own system I think - I haven't taken the plunge yet though...
Camera

One Channel Recorder
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171747314303? ... EBIDX%3AIT
Two Channel Recorder
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2CH-Car-Secur ... SwGtRX1h0C
Monitor (for set up)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150715003190? ... EBIDX%3AIT
plus you would need power supply leads and video cables, all easily found on ebay.
Someday I'll push the button and order these, then configure, buy in bulk, go on Dragons Den, make a fortune, retire to Castellane.... dream on

Roadhawk do a bullet camera that comes with 12v harness and works in the way you want. My missus has used one and it seems to be OK.
