Voltmeters? Et al

Post by Tramp »

Okay while the wifes sleeping and ive 5 mins lol..thinking of adding a voltmeter to my ccm custom nav tower thingy..emphasis on thingy.

Id like something that displays battery volts when riding and when engine not running...kinda gives me the info incase of faulty reg/rec and battery again lol...

So any recomendations needs to be vibe proof and waterproof too...do i wire it via ignition power feed to prevent draining battery when bike stood for a few weeks

Ta muchly ...

Oh the wifes waking up again and wants something

I've got one of these: Green light: everything's ok. Amber light flashing: voltage draw is less than ideal. Red: turn something off!

You can get em on evilbay for less than a quid (I have a couple),

use a potting box to mount it and fill the void with silicon, & deffinately wire them in via a ignition switch feed ...... back brake light power?

Waterproof and does time, temperature and voltage.

It has three wires, put two straight to the battery to get a true voltmeter reading, then the third to your ignition.

Whatever you get you should wire to your ignition.
