Hi,
Just got a new KTM 1290 Super Adventure..
If I take my hands off the handlebars the bike pulls right a lot… I owned quite a few bikes before and none did this… It was part of testing the bike of course.
Does anyone encountered such issue with these bikes? It has the side cases that comes with and the top case also… Will try without the cases but should not do that anyway with them, it's not normal..
Also the handle bars wobble a lot if hands free at lower torque..
Any advice I appreciate.

I know it sounds basic but have you checked tire pressures?

Rear wheel alignment , could be a candidate
I Wouldn't go with the swinging arm marks

Hi Cosc
I had a tyre replaced on my 1190 R recently, the tyre was faulty, totally out of balance. One day bike ran well no issues, next day with new front tyre, bloody awful. Similar symptoms as you are experiencing.

I know the back tire is 36 psi and should be 42 as written in the manual.. I didn't think such small difference might have such a big impact on the driving... You think?

Hi Desmo,
OK I see was your front titre the problem.. I will check also mine.

What about the front steering head bearing play, maybe that would be the problem?

I run 42 minimum in my rear, but its different bike and tyre. I use 140/80/17 BT45 rear. Camping and loaded last weekend rear was at 45psi.Cosc wrote:I know the back tire is 36 psi and should be 42 as written in the manual.. But many years on bikes have taught me that handling and configuration changes big time when tyre pressures are off. 6psi is a big off.
