Triumph Mobile Servicing (Birmingham Area)

Post by Pompier »

Hi All.

I have booked David (AKA muddysump) to do a service on my Tiger 800 on Friday 30th October. I understand he is in the Northants area the day after if anyone else is interested.

His prices for all Triumphs seems very good and he has very good reviews from those who have used him. First time for me,he can stamp your service book etc.

David serviced my Explorer today (20k, valve clearances etc). A really nice chap and very thorough. Book stamped, along with worksheet and diognostic print outs. Half the price of the Triumph dealerships, and I will certainly use him again.

Can somebody tell me more about him? Whats his background? Whats his Triumph credentials?

I currently ride from Northants up to Lincolnshire to have the bike looked after by Clive Wood. 2016 Triumph specialist of the year, awarded by the Hinckley Triumph owners Club.

Would take a skilled guy to make me change, but he does sound more convenient.

David worked for triumph north east where he serviced my tiger, and pretty much everything else they sold, didn't really know him then, but I have since met him at a off road weekend at Haggs bank, and recognised him, where I heard about muddysump, he is a fully triumph trained mechanic. I'll be using him from now on. And he gets good reviews, and much cheaper. No brainer. (thumbs)

What I liked was being able to watch and chat to David whilst he did the service in my garage.
That way I now know how thorough and good he is....he took ages getting the throttle balance absolutely spot on.
Can you ever be sure what a dealer has done?
I am very fussy and have no problem in recommending him.
