Google Maps remove Classic option :-(

Anyone else thoroughly pissed with Google's decison earlier this week to remove the Classic option on Maps and are finding that there is now no option but to use "new improved" maps??

Sign the Petition Here! to request a Classic option again.

Do pass the URL on and spread the word....

One option for UK routing is Bing Maps which also does OS mapping, which is a plus for off roaders! You can also export GPX files for d/l to your GPS from Bing.

But the drag and drop elements are not as good when doing simple routing IMO.

Mapsource and Basecamp exist for Garmin users, but the ability to drag routes about is sadly lacking

Experienced the "new improved" version yesterday. What a joke. Why mess with something that was already working so well?

Both Mapsource and Basecamp have the ability to drag routes to where you want.. though Mapsource is slightly easier.

I can drag routes around in BaseCamp and Mapsource, with no problem at all. Others can, too.

Ah, that explains my expletives last time I tried to use what I thought was 'classic' maps. I'll use an alternative map system from now on.progress? Pah!

New maps absolute CRAP!!!! Cant believe Google are doing this.
Especially with all the complaints they've got about it
