What's the best fuel conditioner/stabiliser

A couple of my bikes only get occasional use, both have carburettors. They can stand for 6 months at my holiday home without running.
Rather than completely draining the fuel from the system is there a product that folk have used or have good intel on that would stabilise and preserve the fuel?

My xr250 usually starts second kick after standing for months, so long as I
drain the float bowl before starting it.

I have a few bikes that get stored and only fired up occasionally and I use Archoil available from these guys
www.powerenhancer.co.uk. Developed in US for stand-by generators, etc, a £6.55 bottle treats 200 litres of fuel so worth using even if you're not 100% sure (like me) that it's needed.
I've also used one of their products to treat a couple of tankfuls on my gsxr1100 that was misfiring and it seems to have cured the problem although may just have needed riding for an extended period, either way, at only a few quid I was prepared to give it a try.

Thanks Trev, just read the tech info and it sounds like it's just the job.

Good stuff to have. I have petrol standby gennies and have used it for years. Try and do the lawn mowers etc too when I remember
Do run the engine with treated fuel for 4-5 mins to pull treated fuerl into the carb!

I put fuel diamonds in all my bikes,,,,small lead squares. They last for 5 yrs (thumbs)
Just checked they are still listed on ebay. £7.50.

I use Briggs and Stratton stuff for lawnmowers if the bikes going to be stood for a long time,never had any problems with it.

I use the 2 stroke version in my chainsaw as it only get used for 3 or 4 months over winter. It's expensive but if you use your bikes for a month or so then run it on normal pump petrol and then put some if this in just before you stop using it for a few months.
