Re: LED lights
DRZ alternator has an output of 200w @ 5,000rpm, so plenty of spare capacity there when the engine is running.
Electric start would indicate that the battery is good for an intermittent heavy discharge.

jonperry64, those lights you've looked at are also available with a 'flood' or diffused beam - I have a set on both my bikes. Put this into search on ebay;
10W Cree LED Work Light Flood light Driving Fog Light Car Motorcycle Boat ATV
Very bright, good for being seen, no use for lighting up the road however !
They are alloy construction and the brackets and bolts seem to be stainless steel - far better in reality than the pictures suggest.

Re: LED lights
Maybe improved if it can take a 55/60w bulb.
This is a "farmers" 250xc headlamp 8"-55/60w -crash guard mounted & you can ride off road @ night with it.
It also doesn't dazzle the oncoming traffic like most aftermarket CREE LED's do.
Do you want to look good or be looking good :laugh: :laugh:

Re: LED lights
got those exact 10w on my bikes, pretty solid now for over two years. they are good addition to bikes headlight, however if u have super shitty headlight i would go with 15W version.
in fact, this is how the exact model look like on my f650

Re: LED lights
I've got them, agree they're great to be seen but rubbish for seeing. Also the alloy isn't brillaint. One one where the light casing has a t slot for the bracket its sheared and duct tape is holding it together as my fibreglass fix sheared with the vibes, although a mate fitted them when I was away so not entirely sure if they broke in use or when fitted.hondapaneuro wrote:jonperry64, those lights you've looked at are also available with a 'flood' or diffused beam - I have a set on both my bikes. Thanks for all the replies. I need to see as well as be seen so it looks like the Rigid Industries might be the only option. Cost a bomb though. The 'farmers' light would probably be good too but it looks like it would be very vulnerable off road.

Pollycarbonate lens, plastic bowl & 25mm tubular alloy surround mount so not too bad. It's survived my cross rutted dismounts a few times :S :whistle:jonperry64 wrote:Thanks for all the replies.
