I have a Clarke tank going on the DRZ
I enquired via Image Works about getting a decal made up to make it look like the original tank but they said they could not offer the right type of material or special glue
They suggested contacting someone who might do decals for moto-x bikes - does any one have any ideas or contacts preferably in the Northwest area?
I need a black and a white sheet and could cut my own but its the materials that are important
Over to you peeps
Decals on plastic tank
Re: Decals on plastic tank
Even the factory decals dont last that long but yes the mx places should be able to help. I have used these folk http://snipergraphics.co.uk/Shop/ and Christian http://crispydesigns.co.uk/
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

Yep. Vented. But even still they don't stay fresh for long stuck straight on the tanks. Many MX graphics are stuck on panels or rad guards so aren't straight on the tank.

Another vote for Spiral...their stuff is very well made and they should have all the materials you need...

Re: Decals on plastic tank
True plastic tanks "sweat" fuel over time --hence the use of perforated decals--and only then small ones. Any attempt at a large sheet, perforated or not, will result in bubbling and peeling and look a right mess in a fairly short time. The use of shrouds is the only answer.(unless someone knows of a paint or sealer that will stick and be petrol proof?)
