Here you go Scoob the pictures I said I would post, mines the mtc oval, glad it is, probably too close to my racks otherwise, I have a box to fit to the other side, good value compared to other brands, I shall post a link to the one I couldn't afford.

I might be missing part of the conversation but these might be of use against an MTC oval...

Should be OK looking at it. The stock exhaust sits level with the bottom of the original light. And the stock exhaust doesn't foul the tail tidy.

Cheers andy, the pic doesn't show the r+g with number plate on tho which sits much higher than standard of course. I'm sure il find a pic with both on or as Felco says cut number plate down a bit.

Re: yamaha xt 660z tenere suspension and other stuff.
Just thought I would share my recent upgrades, I wanted some new footpegs for my tena, dident want the cheap china ones and not keen on pivot pegs(nor the price) so bought some s/hand ones off a wr450, £15, and a bit of grinding and filling , thay fit , the rear brake lever was constantly being bent so grafted one off a xr 400 onto it, the type with a spring, tested it in the Surrey ruts last weekend and worked well, allso fitted some folding mirrors from wemoto, brill, better than the standard ones on the rd, and great for the trails, should pay for themselves, thats my excuse
Re: yamaha xt 660z tenere suspension help required.
May be you've grown mate. Last I heard you was over 6ft. When I knew you you was barely 5 ft 6felco wrote:thanks James, mine measure approximately 124mm so may be it is standard and the shock is tired? All though it doesn't seem bad, think the seat may have been cut down too, this is my second tenere and this one is lower than my first, I was on tip toes on my first, can nearly touch flat footed on this one, great apart from when trail riding.James1979 wrote:I put mine back to standard and Im sure the replacement I used was 124mm. I'll check tomorrow.
The replacements arent the proper length - the factory ones are 123mm IIRC but you cant get them unless you buy them from Yamaha. Or i couldnt find them anyway!
Appreciate your reply mate, thank you.
