So a letter arrived this morning, my first from BMW Motorrad UK.
"our records show you to be the registered owner of blablabla...
BMW Motorrad as ascertained that there is a quality action outstanding on your motorcycle. An optimised check will have to be conducted at the earliest opportunity, you are requested to contact blablabla... the work involved will be performed at no cost to you"
The bike is a year 2000 model F650GS. 14 years later, they think something might be wrong with it?

I wouldn't worry, tell 'em you've already flushed out the engine and exhaust system with water yourself.
PS. I'm planning that run you were asking for soon I'll be in touch ! (thumbs)

I really like their choice of words: "outstanding quality action"
The early model F650GS had an issue with the front fork breaking off. That's pretty "outstanding", not so sure about the "quality" bit.
Good to see you on here Nick, yes a ride soon would be good. Easter?
