Buy something lighter after selling the GS (and no, I'm not being flippant)DirtYarpie wrote: Any suggestions?

We buy things we don't need
With money we don't have
To impress people we don't even like

Why not just get a smaller, simpler, lighter, cheaper bike...Yam XT6somethingorother, for example?

This particular trip will be on paved roads. But I do a lot of riding on dirt roads and so if I replace the GSA I want something that will manage capably and still be able to tour long distances 2-up.
Here is a YouTube clip of one of the sections and a few pictures of the sort of road. Nothing too hectic.

Then I'd get 2 smaller, simpler lighter bikes...don't worry if your passenger can't ride now...she'd be able to by the time she got back!DirtYarpie wrote:I have a KLR but this trip will be 2-up, 28 days and 8 000kms.Richard Simpson wrote:Why not just get a smaller, simpler, lighter, cheaper bike...Yam XT6somethingorother, for example?
