I was getting that on my 2006 955i Tiger (28K miles). would it be reasonable to expect a little more from the Trannie?

Jon
Naa.. Looking at other Ta650's range is usually about 45mpg - 58mpg.

I have a couple times got 55mpg's but usually right around 50mpg , smallish engine for the weight I guess , plus with me on the bike ... (There is a reason I am called LargeWayRound) ..

But as tramp says , the bike just keeps chugging along . ..

My 2000 transalp 650 averaged 51.18mpg over 16,288 miles then it was sold

My KTM (950 adv) has averaged 40.57mpg over 24,706 miles - that does include a fair chunk of off road now.

There are owners out there (on the KTM forums) who claim to average over 50mpg on these bikes.

From what I understand, the problem is that the KTM just begs to be horse-whipped and hooned around, preferably with a set of Akros. I'll be sticking to the standard tune with standard cans and use my restrained, mature, sensible riding style wherever possible  :pinch: .

Jon
I usually get around 42 from my 990 with Akras and Akra-R map. Worst was 38, best was 47.

My 650GS twin normally returns between 180-220 miles to a 14L tank depending how I ride. Last tank was 210 miles to 14L at 75MPG. My best is 232 miles to a tank at 82MPG!

My baby Varadero ... yes only a 125 cc , but great on fuel :) ..... since ive had it , its averaged just under 90 mpg ! .... on my coast to coast trip earlier in the year, fully loaded with all my camping gear , it was nearer to 100 mpg , which im more than happy with ... only bought the bike to save me pennies on my 200 mile commute each week :) and it does save me money as long as its not raining !!
