A Day Out - Wayfarers Way

Post by Mark1961 »

Today I decided to see what my Triumph Tiger would be like on the rough stuff. I had not been on the Wayfarers Way in N Wales for some time so decided as I don’t live that far away to treat myself to a day out. Overall for a big bike on road tyres I couldn’t fault it as for me? Well I’ll just say my age and fitness (lack of it) showed. I didn’t complete the whole route but did enough to prove a point. :)

Could we have a few details about the wayfarers way please, I have just googled it and came up with a load of estate agents selling houses in streets of that name, ugh!

The route is about 7 miles (not inc tarmac) I managed just over 4 miles.

From the photo's it looks bit rocky and uneven....did you turn around after the 4 miles or rejoin a main road? Just wondering as not really done any off-road (except once as pillion and held my breath the whole time, especially on steep downhill!!! )

I used to go that way regularly on the CCM604, ( now departed ).

Well done for giving a go on the Tiger!

Let me guess. At 4 miles in, was it the giant steps / ledge from the eroded tarmac / concrete section that got you? lack of ground clearance see! Thats where I used to struggle!
