now I get even more eager to go....

I plan to include "Route Napoleon" in France.
From the sea up to Grenoble.
That will be in the area of this Balcony road.

Awsome route ... done it both ways and its a lovely trip, take your time and make room in your plans for just turning off the main route and just get lost in some fantastic countryside

The information I have that it is a lot of traffic in July-Aug.
Best is to visit in June or September.

I hope that it is correct.

Route Napoleon with Balcony Roads marked. Very minor detour.

Combe Laval is a little further up than there. It’s next to a town called Saint jean en royans. Don’t want you to miss it
