Way out west (of Scotland)

Post by Steve T »

Popped out to the west coast (again), seeing as I’ve got a few weeks off of work. Tried to avoid the NC500 route but I got wandering and found myself combating a myriad of camper vans and way too many cars for this time of year. Photos from along the route . . .

A different view of the bottom of the Beallach na Ba (hill road to Applecross)

And this one from around the back of the same group of hills

The view across Upper Loch Torridon

My favourite mountain (not that I’ve been to the top), Ben Eighe viewed from Glen Torridon

And finally a picture looking down Glen Docherty towards Loch Maree

Great pictures Steve. I love the road from Applecross to Kinlochewe, great views across to Skye and the manic bit at the top that's similar to the wee mad road. From last year:

Wonderful photos.

I had to postpone my trip to Mull in June this year, but I hope to do a couple of trips next year, the first to Mull, and later in the year staying on the mainland and venturing much further North.
