A Weekend Trip 2006
A Weekend Trip 2006
Hi Everyone I found an old Computer Hardrive in the house and Found these 3 Pictures, They were taken in Scotland in 2006 . The road i was on was very popular with Motorcyclists and there were a few Cafes along the Roadside Near to one of the Cafes was a Very tight S Bend on the Road . I eventually ended up Somewhere Near the Coast " Atlantic Side" and Came down a Small hill and there was a Very Picturesque Cafe on my Left Set in off the Road about 100 Feet with Trees and a Stone Wall around it. I would Love to go there again This Year if i can identify it or if anyone here knows the Area.Cheers Francis

Re: A Weekend Trip 2006
These hills have an east coast look about them, not so sure there are many heather clad hills on the west coast or should I say most heather clad hills are east, but I don't recognise them.
The first picture looks not unlike St Marys Loch but don't think it is.

Just looked at Google street view, and your 3 photos are definitely taken on the A708 beside St Mary’s Loch. Will try and upload the 3 views from street view if I can manage to download them.

Re: A Weekend Trip 2006
Hello Again Everyone , Steve i Loved my AT But the Constant Front Brakes Binding and Sticking Despite Replacing the Callipers Just Made me want to get rid of it . I was Either Heading to Edinburgh or the XRV Meet at Ullapool " But i dont Think Ullapool " Was that Long ago i must check that. RandG St Marys Loch i was not Sure but Spike 941 Has Posted up 3 Pictures from the Same Spot and it is st Marys Loch Well Spotted guys .Flintlock i Just cannot remember it was that long ago were i was Going but i think the Ullapool would have Been the Destination. I just Love being on the Bike in Scotland as i Always try and stay off the Motorways and Carraigeways and Just Use the Side and Back roads . I Try to leave as much time as Possible so that i can see as Much of the Countryside as Possible Rather than Flying along Motorways and Just get bored to death. One of my favourite Runs was Through the Galloway Forest Park up the Raiders Road and then Cross Country and up the Crawford Pass the Scenery up there is Awesome . Once again Everyone thank You for the Info .Cheers Francis
