Good afternoon ABR, the sun has been shinning for almost 2 weeks without any rain here in Scotland I had a group around the NC 500 a few weeks ago and it was awesome. Although we did have 2 days of torrential rain and heavy wind but we all had a blast regardless of the weather. So much to see and do. I have done this route over a dozen times and never get bored of it. We all left from Glenrothes area in Fife, headed North and done the route anti clockwise. clockwise is also a great route but this time we done it anti clockwise. we all left Glenrothes and started a great blast up through Glen devon towards Creiff, up and over the Sma Glens road and ending up in Kenmore, from Kenmore we headed for Aberfeldy then onto Pitlochry, pitlochry to Glenshee, Glenshee, braemar, Tomintoul, aviemore, Nairn etc. all of wich are stunning little places to visit, the roads up this route are great. we then started our NC tour from Inverness castle, heading up the east coast and catching all the stunning beaches on the way. it wasn't until we hit John O Groats that the weather changed to heavy rain, we did get a good few photos before this so all good. we visited all the nice beaches all the way along the top of Scotland before travelling back down the west coast, Durness, Tongue, Applecross etc. The west coast is always the best part of the trip, stunning views, white sandy beaches, caves, castles and most of all, the best roads in Scotland to be riding your bike on. Unfortunately the Applecross pass was a bit windy so we only stopped for a brief 5min before descending down into Lochcarron where the sunshine came out to play. we stopped at Eilean Donan Castle for a few pictures and coffee, again the sun was shinning and the views of the castle were stunning. Next stop is Fort William, Glencoe, Glen Etive, Tyndrum, Lochearn head, Crieff, Glendevon then back to Glenrothes. around 950 miles, a mixture of weather. all in all it was a great trip and the customers loved it. All set and ready to go again in 4 weeks time
If you haven't already travelled around Scotland i would highly recommend it..... You wont be disappointed.
I will try and upload a few photos from the trip.....

Re: 950 Mile Trip around the best roads in Scotland, Advice
Remember in the spring the Scottish countryside world is full of lambs.
On seeing danger i.e. a motorbike, they run to their mothers. If their mother is the other side of the road that means across your path.
Keep your eyes open!
