Another great day on the TET Section 9 France.
Arranged to meet up with Graham on his TTR 250 in Lourdes, we picked up the TET Section 9 in as it crossed over the river Gave de Pau, and was soon on a gravel track heading east towards Oloron-Sainte-Marie. The trail continued along the river for a few km then crossed over into the hills onto some farm trails and green lanes.
Coffee and croissants were found in Sainte-Pé-de-Biggore.
Crossing the river and picking up the TET trail again just outside the village.
The next section to Asson is tarmac roads approx 5km.
Picking up the TET in Asson followed some narrow trails and farm tracks.
A nice picnic spot was found as the trail passed through a field track.
The afternoon was much the same, some great trails of gravel and green lanes.
Stopped for afternoon Coffee and cakes in Louvière-Juzon Just off the TET.
Then back riding on the TET for another 20+ km to just outside Oloron-Sainte-Marie where the trail ended onto tarmac. So reversed the direction and rode back, completing the section from Lourdes to a village 10 mins from home Trébons, a nice steady 8 hour ride on the edge of the Pyrenees.
The section we rode was a good mix of trails with some tarmac roads in between.
Total km 180, and 8€ spent on fuel!! A great day on the CRF250L
