Cheers Steve. Yep it was an epic week, including one 9 or 10 hour day, which ended in a mad hoon down the N260 on nobblies. Bloody shame you couldn't make it - it was just your cup of tea.

I know the HISS set-up at Collegats divided people, but this trip proved that small bikes in vans based in a better location with less 'management' is the way to go.

To echo Dave, a great week of trail riding with great company and a brilliant location.
Campsite is perfect and a very relaxed atmosphere. Just a few minutes walk into Sort in the evenings for a well deserved beer (or two)

. Just 2km to the Petrol station for refueling, and in the central location for the trails.
One for the diary in September 2020.
Getting up to almost 2700m on the Col Negre was fantastic, topped by getting to the famous landmark the VW Bus!!

Col De Negre (our highest riding of the week):

You basically pile up the black scree slope at full whack and make sure you stop before going straight over this edge.

Thursday was certainly a memorable day, a very long day, but what fantastic veiws from the Col Negre, and the trails to get there.
All in all a brilliant week.

Looking down to Andorra De Vella

If you want very cheap bike gear, booze, fags, fuel etc. then it's a mecca. But otherwise best to get in and out asap and back up into the stunning countryside.
