Overberg morning outride

Post by dual »

Took an old route today
First stop, De Bos dam, our local water reservoir

Karwyderskraal pass

Karwyderskraal road looking towards Kleinmond mountains

Swartriver road

Turn off to a road known as fall down hill, for obvious reasons

Image

The road leading to fall down hill is like a gravel highway with loose rocks here and there just to keep it interesting

Fall down hill

A few gates on this road because it’s all farmers land, to keep animals in

This section was not too bad today and when one goes down a hill, it means somewhere you must go up again

Keep closed

Beautiful landscape, that’s why I like riding here

Old plough, been laying here for years

Some more gates

It’s hot and dry, a veld fire in the distance

Nice holiday accommodation

Bee farming, for honey and to assist farmers for pollinating

The end of the dirt road, from here on tar back home

Nice relaxing 78 km round about
