This F8GS -the Trophy version - was my sons for over 2 years before I took it off his hands earlier this year, as I'd sold my previous F8GS-the Tango version- to a man from Germany - Q the song "Its coming home, its coming home . . . . ". My previous F8GS-the Tango version- I'd owned for 3 years, and the F8GS before that- a Bumble Bee version- I also owned for 3 years .
I also ran a F650GS twin (same engine but with less power and a smaller frame/suspension set up) for 3 years, during part of which I also had the Tango version of the F8GS.
I've done closing on 100k miles on this model of machine. It is, to my simple mind, the natural successor to the venerable XRV750 Africa Twin, of which I've owned 4 of.
