A few Hours in the Slop

Post by daveuprite »

Last minute meet yesterday in Availles Limouzine, where Aussie Matt took me and Steve round his local trails. Lots of recent rain, so it had all turned to slop. Plenty of comedy moments....

There's no way a little stick like this will prevent the nobs from going where they want:

Matt had just hit a dead sheep or something cunningly hidden in this puddle, and he spent a pleasant few seconds thrashing around in the water (which I didn't catch on camera sadly), but he was more than happy to stay there and pose for these:

Two strange perverts doing god know's what in the woods:

Eventually we joined the 4x4 club's training circuit and things got even muddier:

And we all had a good play:

Damage to bikes: Minimal

Damage to riders: Lacerated neck from a mad bramble that got me. Various unexplained aches and pains today. Visit to psychiatrist after a day spent with Matt and Steve.

Looks like a good laugh but that's not the France I know, I sincerely hope it's not like that in two weeks time

Good on you for getting out in the slop 8-)

Great laugh for a spur the moment ride, didn't realise I was a natural with a vid camera  good job I'd lost a bit of weight and regained my athleticism, otherwise wouldn't of managed getting under that small tree
