We are planning a trip to ride some of the French TET in a couple of months. What a better way to test the bikes and gear than riding a weekend along a section of the UK TET.
I started at Congleton in the West Peaks area as its pretty close to where I live. Spent Friday following the TET route through the Peaks. Fantastic route that takes in the best trails in the area. Ive ridden the Peaks a lot in the past but I even managed to find and ride new to me trails thanks to the TET route. Cant believe Id missed them in the past!
Got as far as Penistone where I met up with a couple of others. We spent Saturday riding up to Hawes where we camped for the night. The TET route follows some fantastic single tarmac roads as much as possible, fantastic views and the tarmac links the best trails the UK has to offer. I just cant wait to ride the rest of the TET.
Anyway, some photos......cracking weekends riding.

Re: Peaks and Dales TET
Well done Mike.
I think we crossed paths at the end of the Scar House to Middlesmoor lane.

Time knows no limits for days such as these.............

Cracking lane that. One of my favourites. We only saw your group and 2 other riders further into the Dales all weekend.

I did a similar trip last week Mike starting from port of tyne and finishing in South lakes, and like you found the route awesome. Some great trails and road work taking me to places I've never been before. even though I've ridden in the area many times. Well recommended, i/we had to miss bits out due to time restrictions, so allow yourself plenty time if you want to follow it to the line.

Ace stuff cowling. It's my plan to ride as much of the route as I can over many weekend. No rush. Next bit for me is from Congleton to Llangollen. Looks sparse for trails but it's a section I've never ridden before so will be a good test for the 950 once I've fixed a few issues.
