Having seen Alan Holt's video posted on the Forum month or so ago, I contacted him re the type of accommodation on " GoodLife Farm" and also the trails around the area.
As he can accommodate 4/5 people we booked for early April.
Found a few trails on wiciloc and added the gpx files to the Montana.
As Flix is only about a 4hr drive from us on the French side of the Pyrenees, we arrived around 12:00 and with a bit of shopping for the essentials, beer, wine and food for the BBQ, we set off around 2pm.
A trail of approx 75km was ideal for the afternoon ride, mostly off-road but with a few tarmac sections. Alan joined us on this one, making 5 riders.
The trail was to the south west of Flix, and climbed up to 550m were the gravel tracks had been installed for the Wind Turbines. After this the trails went narrower and more interesting, passing through Olive and Almond groves. A couple of sections seemed to be difficult to follow the trail as the track seemed to disappear due to farmers ploughing around the trees and land. We made our detours and got back on the original trail. The views over the valley from the top at 550m are spectacular, and worth a moments pause to see.
The trail was easy, with one or two more technical sections, a very steep decent, and loose gravel like riding on marbles.
A steady ride back, for the the well deserved cold beers!!
First BBQ of the year in the warm Spanish climate..
Day 2 to follow.
Small Sudio Appartment for 2 people
Gite / Casa for 4 people
Steve enjoying the trails.

Re: 4 Go Trail Riding around Flix Catalonia
Day 2 a delayed start, nearly 11:00 due to a problem on a friends bike not starting after fueling up at the local garage, so we chose a route to the north east of Flix, soon we found some old caves, that looked like the had been lived in a few years ago, a very secluded place if you wanted to hide from someone!! Back on the trail we had to find our way past a fallen tree. We passed the village La Palma D'Ebre and picked up the trail again heading for La Granadella, were we had planned a lunch stop. Picked up the trail again just outside the village, and started heading south, we had found a few trails blocked with chains etc, but had coloured ribbon or similar marking the restriction, until I managed to run into a wire stretched accros a trail without any markings!!, lucky it hit the forks and stopped me in about 1m from 30kmh!! That was a shock as I never saw it!! Anyway no serious damage to me, the bike suffered a couple of scratches on the forks.
We then continued our way navigating the trails back to Alan's place, lucky we had escaped the rain all day, but at about 5:30 when we were off the trails we got caught in a big shower..
Back very wet to the accommodation, dry out and ready for another good evening of BBQ, beer and of course the Vino Tinto!!
A great evening (again) !!
Steep ascent, keep the power on Steve!! Some very nice trails. Hard work this off-roading !!

Those CRF250L & CRF250Rally are great bikes for the trails Brenhden, looks like winter is slowly coming to an end down here. But there is always Spain just across the Pyrenees. Off on the TET in early May, just hope the snow has started to clear on the higher trails around Andorra!!
Hope you are still enjoying the new Honda. Hope to see you on a HISS or around the Pyrenees one day...
