We in South Africa have the last airworthy Shackleton MK3, although grounded, they have an engine run every last Saturday of the month at AFB Ysterplaat
Staying quite a distance from Cape Town it is always a worthy trip to do
Went past the Theewaterskloofdam wich is at 11 % water level at this stage, we have a serious drought on hand in the Western Cape
The clouds build up nicely, but not enough rain at this stage
Then, to the main business of the day, the Shackleton
Getting everything ready
Power source for electrics
Not too many people
Startup with Table Mountain in the distance
Full reffs
Quite an event if you're interested in it
Back home, but why not take a detour, the old Houwhoek pass, quite a favourite ride and close to home
Life is good

They used to still fly Lightnings in SA but I believe they've stopped, I have a share in this one but of course they haven't flown for years in the UK.
