Good route !! ... for the freezing it is best to take a "carajillo"The Spanish Biker wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2017 5:29 pm Hi Toni,
That looks like a fantastic trip - wish I was there!
Tomorrow I'm off on the train, from Bossost over to Mongarri and on along the Noguera Pallaresa to Isil, after which we'll head off up to Valencia d'Aneu for lunch.
A freezing start for me from La Pobla de Segur at about 07.30 but worth it as I will cross the Port de la Bonaigüa pass at around 09.00 before the holiday traffic.
Sadly my British friends, who are joining me from the French side where they all live, won't stop for breakfast ...
Much as I love them dearly they have no idea how to eat as well as you Spanish guys!
But we do have the edge on you with music ...

Keep me posted Toni, I may be out west along the Trans Euro Trail but will have to head back to the Pyrenees at some point!Motostrail wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2017 10:49 am By June of next year I do (if nothing happens) an offroad meeting in Sort
Talking of the Pyrenees - back on topic I hear you cry! - literally the high point of our little day out yesterday ...
... was up high - 2,049 metres! - at the Coll de Varradòs.

And a personal altitude record I think!

PS, yes, just checked: record before was 2,225m at the Colletó de la Portella ...
... and for an actual summit the Sierra de Javalambre (2,021m) down in the Aragon HISS territory, where, unlike in the Pyrenees, attaining summits is part of the fun!
