no worries about a report--I'm a bit miffed at accidentally deleting all my phots so hence the "ask". However, our resident travelling phot man Stewie gave a great impression of the variety of trails and the scenery--a not to be missed day with the heather and sunshine--and deep, dark tunnels of green in the vallies---and the bloody rocks!.
Just an update--sprag clutch now replaced on the kawa-(starting is now a quieter affair!!) -and I have added US kawa jet ski registration decals on the tail--"ABC 1"

And Chris,( cactirus) Sorry to hear about your photos, Dam shame, I understand now why you buy classics, imagine how bored you'd get with a new bike that needs nowt doing. :D

Yeah but the bomb holed rutted impassible mess was one of the highlights of the day...

nothing beats you riding over/through a 5 foot high Gorse bush though Cowling whilst we made our own lane!!!

I'm buying a helmet cam for the next meet!

I was smiling under the sweat so well done--its 3/4 of the fun--and we all got through--and back!
! don't particularly like fiddling but the bike has to be fit for purpose(and I have time but not necessarily the money)---so far its been a powder coated frame, pads, wheel bearings, bars, levers, handguards, some new plastics, LED main bulb, pivot pegs, braided brake line, carbon/kevlar bashplate, chain and sprockets, new clutch plates and springs, new clutch cable, rack, tool tube, and now a new starter sprag and torque limiter gear set, Garmin power take off, charging indicator, re-upholstered seat and so on. However, the starting point was less than 1k, and at the end you get a bike that suits you--in my case, low , light and simple (I associate with two out of the three :) ). I reckon its better than my NX 250 (particulary geometry and suspension)--and I've had a Beta Alp-and its way better than that--and I reckon would be better than a Serrow--and particularly because Serrows fetch stupid money. Interestingly my local Kawa dealer has been able to supply all parts, and prices are reasonable.
Scooby--shall I proceed with the bashplate?(Honda rally). Also I'll have a set of carbon/kevlar 690 case covers available soon--slight seconds (slight surface imperfections), but same brick s house quality and fit--I'll put them up for sale when they arrive--mates rates-pm me if interested.

As said by everyone, another great weekend, big thanks to Scoob for sorting, and everyone else for just being a great laugh, the weather held up for us, and the scenery up that way is stunning.
I made a long weekend out of it and headed up to York on the Thursday, so I would only have an hours ride on the Friday to the bunkhouse.
I went in Scoob's group, let's just say that some of the grassy descents were a bit tricky on the 990 with K60's on, one of the last lanes, ( A steep down hill with a drop off to the right. ) I had more overs than a 5 day test match, also big thanks to Neil for stepping up to lead the second ( Explorer ) group, without people stepping up these events just wouldn't happen.
Meet, Ride, socialize. 8-)
Here's some pics...
