I remember those Dutch guys now, some of them had done the trans patagonian trip last year on XTR'S, Alaska to Cape horn, now that would be a trip (thumbs) respect. You do meet some really interesting people in the most unlikely of places on these trips....brill

Just about at this point on the trail severalyears ago Mr X and i spotted a BM Dakar sat about 100m of the trail with no body about !!!

We checked the area and found nothing but a flat on the bike !! we carried on passing a pre Boer War truck chugging up hill with a cab full of faces :woohoo:
Not thinking anything we carried on to the next brew stop where this guy sat all Klimed up with a coffee ....................and his bike !!!
After chatting to him it came to light that one of the faces in the old truck was his mate going to get the bike :laugh: it also turned out that the Yank we were with was only the MD of WWF :woohoo: you meet alsorts with a the bike bug (thumbs)
One of the main things i love about the Atlas is the solitude , massive open spaces

Dropped down into the fretile valleys of "Breberville" can't remember the village name but stopped there a couple of years back when it was a bit cooler
