Did i mention it rained a little

But the sun was trying to get out , so lets push on to Dades ....... NO WAY we'd been cut off

Steve had crossed over at this point but after speaking to the locals they said it'd be gone in 30 mins

It was getting deeper as we spoke and Steve had no idea what was happening so came back !!

We waited the 30mins and it just got deeper and deeper !! so we headed back to the garage/cafe where we could possibly spend the night , the Spanish GSers were still there .......happy chaps ;) we grabbed another coffee and waited !! the Spaniards left heading south so what the hell lets try and get back to Skoura and a hotel

We found the GS ers waiting at another flood !!

This seem to work as an ice breaker and they loosened up Steve and i pushed through after a while followed by the Spaniards

That was the first of 5 crossings , it took us 3hrs to go 20kms and made some new Spanish friends

Two of the BMs cried when wet and without thinking Steve and i just jumped in to help , they soon dried out and as said we have new friends

Before anyone jumps on the "I HATE GS RIDERS" thats not the way it was , anyone on two wheels is sorted in my book (thumbs) it was more the language barrier i think but we got by with a load of pointing and grunting and i have Antxon Fernandez email (thumbs)

We did eventually made it back to the Riad Skoura , pretty good and cheap (thumbs)

Morning shot

it does seem to give them a weird stance though don't you think ? is that normal or have they just got damp trousies ?

Funny you should say that nick, but noticed I've got bit funny stance at mo, and as for my damp trousers. ......well,let's not go there (thumbs) . Those Spanish guys were really quite cold when we first met them, but by the end of our ordeal in crossing the flooded oudies. ....what a change, that's the comradery of bikers.....great guys on there own trip can't remember where too, but really nice lads.... Seeing the Donk piled up with all that gear has brought back happy childhood memories of playing "Buckaroo"
on the kitchen table.
No wonder the Spaniards kept their distance, you nutter.
