Tony was right there Mike he always recognise's a Sausage

No Mike never done the track from Dodd fell did come down it about a month ago in the rain and low cloud it
was in a rough way that day
I come up from Marsett to Stalling busk a few times recently its been steam rolled as flat as the A59 now :(

from Marsett, I knew hte bit from the village green down by the river had been flattened, but what about up the other side, the rocky bit that ends by the church and onto tarmac? Surely that's just as rough as ever?

No that is flat as well and goes up in tiers, with like kerb stones in a narrow v shape with drains in the centre of
them proper civilised
I went up easy on the 1200
And you would not of done that at the end of last year

Well that is a shame. That was one of the best lanes in the area.

I have heard that the NPA's are deliberately grading the UCR's

They are grading these lanes flat now, because the want to to put in a C2C MTB route (a la Way of the Roses road cycling route) for off road cyclists and using the 3 Northern NP's

They will flatten all the rocks and make it like a gravel road on certain key trails - like Kidstones

Conversely if they level them, the 4x4 and trail bikers will stop using them, because the challenge has been extinguished

If he did all the ones I'm thinking then yes it should, as long as your happy riding a bike off road.
Devils staircase up out of Hawes can be fun though ;-)
